How to Share a Resume on LinkedIn
LinkedIn is where recruiters search for talent. Making your resume easy to find and access is a great way to increase your chances of being contacted.
While you can upload a PDF directly to LinkedIn, this means you have to constantly re-upload a new file every time you update your resume. A better approach is to use a linkedin resume link.
How to Add a Resume Link to LinkedIn
Adding a resume link to LinkedIn ensures recruiters always see your most up-to-date experience.
1. The Featured Section
The Featured section sits right at the top of your profile. This is the best place to add your resume link.
- Go to your LinkedIn profile.
- Click Add profile section, then Recommended, then Add Featured.
- Click the + icon and select Add a link.
- Paste your resume link (e.g.,
resumex.tech/rohan/fullstack) and click Add. - Give it a clear title like "My Resume" or "Full Stack Developer Resume".
2. The About Section
You can also include your resume link at the bottom of your About section.

3. In Direct Messages
When a recruiter reaches out, you can simply reply with your resume link. It is faster than finding the PDF on your computer and attaching it.
How ResumeX Helps
With ResumeX, you can create a permanent resume link. Once you add it to your LinkedIn profile, you never have to update the link again. If you get a new job or learn a new skill, just update the resume behind the link, and everyone who clicks your LinkedIn featured link will see the new version.
